My Dear Henry
You will be surprised to hear I am returned to town, having come up to day expressly to see Dr Kerrison 2 who has if possible ensured my high opinion of him by seeing in a clin d’oeil 3 what was the matter. He is a kind hearted & a clever Man, & I grieve to think how far I shall be from him in Scotland, for he does not by any means advise my giving up the journey though I have been so unwell at Wrotham Park. 4 I am going back there tomorrow as he has undertaken to put me in repair by persevering in his draughts. I left Car & Hor & Mr F. 5 there. Mrs Byng6 says she is sorry you have cut her you were so much expected that your room was all ready prepared for you. We mean to proceed on Saturday to Temple Newsam 7 of which I forgot the Post Tow[n] 8 but I believe Leeds
Yes I find Leeds is the Post town & as we shall stay there 6 days I have ample to hear from you.
