TALBOT1862

Netherby 1

Monday 21st Sepr

My Dearest Henry

I have been so vexed about your not receiving my letter to Bangor 2 that it has taken off all my pleasure, I should so like to have shewn you the beauties of Lowther 3 Myself and so many days I walked out there alone, when the rest of the party were dispersed different ways thinking of you, & expecting you, & so minding that you neither came nor wrote. I hope you will find two letters 4 from me at the Post office at Penrith besides this, but in case by any mistake you do not, this is to advise your proceeding to Lowther, where you are expected & therefore need not write. and do not mind the Porter there saying Lord & Ly Lonsdale 5 are at Carlisle races, because they are coming back & your old friend Lady Frederick Bentinck 6 is prepared to do the honours of the Castle to you till their return. I have left your letters with her, & all the explanations of where we are, & where we are going
