My Dear Mother
It was very unfortunate your letter 1 to Bangor miscarried, it gave me a great deal of vexation. I found here three letters 2 from you, from Lowther, Corby & Netherby. 3 I mean to take your advice & go to Lowther; I shall dine there today & tomorrow, and set off by the mail tomorrow night which will bring me to Glasgow Friday evening –
