Drummond Castle 1
Sunday Oct 5
My Dear Henry
I can add nothing to what I said yesterday & only send this because of the unlucky fate that befel your letter 2 to Bangor. So to avoid such mistakes I just scratch you a line to say Lady Willoughby 3 desired me to invite you here & that our day for going to Scone is uncertain, but certainly not before Thursday. This will get to Glasgow tomorrow morning I find.
Adieu
Crieffe is about 2 miles from here to walk & 3 in a carriage
This is a dangerous place to come to in the dark
I suppose you will get here about ten o’clock at night
