Fordell 1
Wednesday night 4th November
Dear Lady Hopetoun Henry
We are surprized you have not appeared here to day, & send Robert with this to try & find you out & to bring back our letters. We stay here tomorrow so pray come & the next day we go to Hopetoun House 2 for two days. Mr Feilding 3 is not very well, all the shooting at Rossie 4 has been too much for his foot, which is painy & uncomfortable
If you have any thing better to do where you are, I would not engage you to come here but that is unlikely I should think – Robert takes this at 8 in the morning & the hour late & I’m sleepy so no more Sir Philip & Lady Durham 5 send you all sorts of civilities.
