TALBOT1944

Dear Talbot,

I am sorry you are such a lazy amateur of tree-moving, as to prefer seeing it by proxy; but, as you are, I have done my possible 1 to enlighten your deputy, & furnished him with a copy of Sir Henry Stuart 2 to refresh his recollections at leisure.

If you happen not to go to Town tomorrow, pray come over at two o'clock, & we will move another for you. Say too to Captain Fielding 3 & the Ladies that 2 is the hour instead of 12, which I hope will be more convenient; & that I much regret they cannot contrive to repose upon my (not laurels, but,) occidental planes, [illegible deletion[ after the operation, for the evening. Perhaps, if you stay over tomorrow, you can honor me, &, peradventure, prevail on them to do likewise.

Believe me Very sincerely yours,
H. H. Joy
