Sunday.
My dear Henry
It strikes me that you must want a new ribbon to your glass – I therefore enclose one, which you can make Nicholl 1 put on for you – I send today’s Newspaper by today’s post. – Lady Elisabeth 2 has read it. Should you like the Literary Gazette 3 also? I enjoyed the party very much yesterday, & thought you did too: quite as much as could be expected. – At least you looked very amiable & cheerful –
I was so sorry that I had not more time to become acquainted with Mr Thompson after you introduced me, but hope he will come back with you to Lacock –
Mr Sotheron 4 has kindly promised to let me know after he comes home tomorrow, what prospect there is of an interesting day in the Courts on Tuesday.
Your affectionate
Constance. –
