My dear Henry
We had another party at the Pavilion yesterday, much more crowded & duller than the first. The Prince of Orange 1 was there. There was dancing & a band of Bohemians played & sang between times. There were loads of odd figures aborigines of the soil. Lady Ellenborough 2 & all the Miss Laws were there – & Miss Graves, 3 who is grown very pretty indeed – Lady Chichester & Lady Elisabeth Vernon. The King 4 talked to Mrs Methuen 5 a great deal about Wiltshire – che onore! 6 – We are going this evening to Lady Belfast 7 where the Miss Gents are to sing.
Mama 8 says she feels she ought to tell you our plans as she promised – but they are still en l’air, 9 although the time approaches when they must be definitively settled. –
Pray let us know where you are & what you are about, which we have not an idea of. Addio caro 10 – I must go & dress.
Your affte sister
