My dear Sir

In reply to your favor ¹ of yesterdays date Friday the 10^th Instant will suit me to join you in the Canvass for Chippenham ² and I will be very much at your Service at the Angel Inn there at eleven o’Clock if that hour and place should be convenient to you –

I would strongly recommend you to have your professional Agent at your Elbow during this Canvass to record Votes & be otherwise useful – Should I not hear from you to the contrary I shall consider this Appointment as a fixed one
