Laycock Abbey
Thursday
My Dear Henry
I wrote you a long letter the day before yesterday of which you take no notice. In answer to your question I have to say the G’s 1 are still here & I hope will stay to sing to Ld V 2– who we expect Saturday. Mr Twopenny 3 (a Lawyer & friend of Lord Lansdowne 4) come tomorrow from Bowood 5 & stays here a day or two to draw the beauties of the Abbey, and DanesKiold 6 comes next week. This is all I have to amuse me at present. I sent you list of whose who had been here having forgotten to mention Mrs Napier 7 & three daughters who came in their way to Frestford, their new house. I d’ont know whether you were aware they were going to déménager. 8 If you come Saturday, let me know that morning by the post. and say whether you will have the carriage to meet you at Melksham or Chippenham, 9 & at what hour. While you remain in town pray write to us every day. We are Expiring for news. John 10 is here, he goes to town tomorrow morning early, so you will see him
