My dear Mr Talbot

Miss Feildings 2 approaching marriage must I am sure prevent you & Lady Elizabeth 3 from receiving us about the middle of next month – We must therefore look forward to the pleasure of visiting you at some future time. Pray offer to Lady Elizabeth & to all your family our warmest congratulations, & accept the same [illegible deletion] & will you say every thing most kind from my girls & myself to your amiable Sister? We sincerely wish her every possible happiness –

Henry 4 as you very well imagine is delighted with his success at All Souls, & I think will probably reside there a good deal, for some time to come at least He is in Loan for a few days to go thro’ the form of keeping a term at Lincolns Inn, & then comes here for 2 or 3 days to attend a Dinner given to the Officers of the Yeomanry, by Lord Ilchester 5 – This neighbourhood is quite quiet now & I hope will continue so – The Cholera now is the great subject of alarm, but we ourselves in residency are less frightened about it than most people – I am very sorry to find you continued suffering from the effects of the Influenza so long after we saw you – What a sad illness it is! for one called trifling – With the kind regards & good wishes of our little family circle believe me

Sincerely Yours
Harriet Ker Seymer.
