TALBOT226

13 Gr. Stewart St 1

Wednesday

My dear Henry

Tilly 2 had your letter this morning telling us of your safe arrival.–

I write today mainly to send you the enclosed message from Miss Gibson Craig 3 – I will put the returned number of “Les Mondes” in your room.

Mr Swan’s 4 present of two beautiful Carbon Photographs arrived today – we opened & duly admired them.

Before getting them framed, the names of the subjects should be inscribed below each picture and this would be best in printing not written. They are well mounted, & can be carefully placed in a drawer or portfolio for the present. If you intend to take them to Laycock they will travel back as they are, and can be nicely framed by our old friend Mr <Phillput?> at Bath. – When convenient pray say whether you intend them to be taken to Laycock Abbey – The weather continues very bright & rather cold –

Your affectionate

Constance
