Wednesday
My dear Henry
Mr Feildings 1 gout mends slowly but I still think we shall be able to get away Saturday but he cannot yet put his foot to the ground. Pray bring me from Mr Spencer 2 a bottle of Tincture of Myrrh, as a large one will probably be inconvenient to you a small one will do for me, which I want very much, whether I go or stay.
The Dorsetshire Election was settled by a compromise between the Candidates, Lord Ashly 3 not to stand the next time. Mr Ponsonby 4 was disinclined to continue the Sorting, having such sums already & having begun the Election before a contest was foreseen, which is hard upon him.
affly Yrs

I hope you have received the Times regularly
