TALBOT2341

Caro Enrico 1

It is certainly inconvenient to have any body just now because we are here with few servants & no plate but as I mind the people in question as little as possible & they care very little for such discomforts, I think it a pity to say them nay for I would always rather cateris peribus 2 have people when they are inclined than when I am, as they are probably then most disposed to be pleased. Otherwise when the Maison was montée 3 & the establishment complete is the time I should naturally have invited them, particularly as it is 50 miles out of their way into Dorset shire. I shall of course receive the Morning Visitors you announce to me with the utmost civility & hospitality. Horatia 4 is not well, she has got a sore throat owing to these East winds which are very provoking & Keep back vegetation It has scarcely advanced this last week
