My Dear Henry
In case you have any thoughts of coming here in your way to Abbotsbury 1 I write to say Mr F’s 2 bed is vacant & will be so till Caroline 3 is confined, but that is uncertain. Lord V. 4 is gone to Windsor to pay his devoirs 5 to her Majesty 6 & thank her for her Box sent to Caroline [text obscured under seal] which we were so much amused last night. It was Tableaux of all the Waverly Novels 7 & ending with a Pageant including the Tomb & all the Charaters [sic]. It was really beautiful.
Lord Ilchester 8 stays in town about two days & then goes to Abbotsbury
