My Dear Henry

For the honour of Laycock I must tell you that Caroline ¹ was regaled with green peas so late as yesterday at dinner, & Lord M^t Edgcumbe ² was quite emerveillé ³ to see them so late in the season, & enquired very particularly if they were real living peas, & not impostors. You have taken no notice of the parcel, supposed from Italy, which I mentioned some time ago to you, surely if it is any thing botanical it had better be sent while you are at home – why don’t you ans^r C’s letter
