My Dear Henry

I have the pleasure of telling you that you are uncle to a very nice little healthy nephew, ¹ born yesterday evening. Caroline ² is as well as possible & much delighted with her wee son – you know her passion for all wee things. She took a long walk with Amandier ³ yesterday Morning, all the way to Holles Street & back, a tolerable performance just before. She is in good spirits & desires I will tell you she was amused with your letter about Enoch & the German Baron. If you come to town we can certainly get you a bed in this Street. M^t Edgcumbe ⁴ lodges over the way – Lord V ⁵ – would be too happy to have you at dinner every day – it is what he likes

aff yours
