My Dear Henry
I write by Caroline’s 1 express desire to thank you for your first little Letter 2 which she was allowed to read this Morning, & the second which she is to be allowed to read this evening. She passes her time less dully than you may suppose having her son to contemplate which she does continually for an amusement, as she is not allowed to read, or talk or to be excited in any way – but she has little fever & is progressing towards recovery. Lord V 3 – had a bad fall from his horse two days before she was confined in <illegible> 4 twilight in Hyde Park, the horse trod on his face & chest & he was brought home in a Hackney coach, but the next day he seemed quite well
