I was quite sure M^rs Mundy ¹ would come to town for the trousseau, as I did myself – you see I know womankind better than you do. I am very glad it is so settled as then I shall have an opportunity of becoming acquainted with Constance ² as Caroline ³ is likewise very desirous of doing.

Pray let me know when you suppose it likely you will be here, and give me some indices by which to settle my plans. I thought you were rather hasty in chusing your carriage so long before it was likely to be wanted
