My Dear Henry
I quite forgot when you went away to say that Gwynne 2 had just recollected that when we left London in December, she not knowing the House was going to be lent, left all my things (as Giovannina 3 did many of Caroline’s 4) at sixes & sevens, épars 5 in the different rooms having the most entire confidence in Fanny 6. But as Constance 7 & you will now both want the Chests of Drawers in your rooms, I wish you to tell Fanny to collect them all into any one chest of drawers & lock them up & keep the key herself, till we get to town, and I have the most particular objection to Mrs S. 8 touching anything of mine. Now dont forget this. Gwynne made very lately for your ménage 9 some pots de Confitures 10 which some how were forgot to be sent with you. She begs me therefore to say that Saverio 11 has undertaken them & packed them up to go with him to day – She mentioned the number of them, but at this moment I forget. I hope you found the house tolerably comfortable tho’ not smart as the new Carpets are not down – I am quite vexed to have parted with Constance just as we were beginning to get acquainted. Let me know the on dits 12 of politics, & Write when you can
