Smith will not give any translation of the Creation tablet ¹ in the present part only an untransliterated copy of the tablet

I shall be very glad of a translation of Delitzsch’s ² preface and I am glad to see you agree with my views as to keeping our friends “au courant” ³ in these matters. I am arranging with Bagsters ⁴ to issue a quarterly notice raisonnée of New Books on Assyrian and Egyptian – English and Continental and have already sent them a notice of the Lesestücke

Do you know anything of E. De Chossat ⁵ as an Assyriologist. I have a special reason for enquiring?
