Dear Mr F.
Caroline 1 comes Saturday night, to the Burlington Hotel. 2 I never had less time for writing than at present, which must be my excuse for not doing so oftener – I don’t more particularly wish the road on Nash Hill 3 to be mended than any other which the vestry may prefer: but if a parcel of men are standing idle, can the farmers object to their improving the roads, instead of being paid for doing no good at all? I sent your letter to Major Graham; 4 – what ought I to pay for a pair of horses, & coachman per week? – I was not present at the division last night, having a bad cold. I see Ministers beat Hume, 5 but not by a majority of 2 to 1.
The measure of Irish Church Reform 6 was received with great applause in the House.
Yours affly
H.T.
