I had no idea L^y Londonderry’s ³ Groom would have found you out so easily at Darlington. When she gave the letter to the Groom of the Chamber she said to him “ il faut qu’on le trouve" ⁴ – but I own at the time I thought that more easily said than done.

We go Monday the 23^d to Aske Lord Dundas’s ⁵ – & on Thursday 26^th to Lord Grantham’s ⁶ further you shall hear at the post office Wetherby –

I wished you to come here only beca[use]⁸ the House is a thing to see & that I cannot tell how you will dispose of yourself – while we are at Aske M^r F. will write thence to Wetherby
