I was fortunate enough to get the Chippenham ¹ Bill up to the Lords with the others on Tuesday Evening –

I am very much in hopes that the purchase Money for M^rs Thackerays ² property is by this time actually paid to Messrs Drummonds to your Account as Trustee of Mr & M^rs Thackerays Settlem^{t 3} –

It will therefore only remain to ascertain the Amount of the expences [sic], which shall be done as soon as possible, & have the balance invested in the Funds.
