Had I known you would have staid so long I should have sent you another Newspaper. Lady Tankervilles ¹ ball was very good. We went to another the same Night chez Lady Dundas. ² You were prié ³ to M^rs Cunliffe's to meet Sir Walter Scott. ⁴ Horatia ⁵ & I went, Caroline ⁶ had a cough & besides had seen him at Paris. Horatia & I are going to Night to the ball at Devonshire House, Caroline is not well enough
