My dear Henry
That you may not direct to Bath I write due righe 1 to say that while the Weather is so cold & damp Mr Kendrick 2 will not let her move out of the house, particularly as she has hitherto not been out of her room, except carried into the next, to bathe. The Bath we borrowed from Bowood 3 & it has agreed very much with her.
Mr Feilding 4 is gone today to Bath to look for houses but in case they will not let one for so short a time we shall take apartments at the Hotel Mr Wollaston was at in the Winter,5 because the Inns at Bath are all too odious & dirty. Sunday or Monday I think she will certainly go, for one cannot expect this sort of weather to last in the middle of June. The night before last was a sharp frost. I saw Fitz6 out tending yr plants & told him how imprudent in the rain. He said he must and was all enveloped in an immense Turban of the Melon kind
