Lacock
Tuesday
April 18h
Dear Sir/
Having to set off for London on Thursday Morning & several things to arrange at my Office to morrow, I will not come to Lacock unless you wish particularly to see me, as my Son 1 will be able to explain all about the Tythes & receive your instructions thereon – & if you will be kind enough to inform him at the same time, to whom I shall make the first payment after the Audit – it shall be attended to forthwith – I expect to get about £500 at this time –
I enclose the two Cheques given me by Gundry & Co 2 – wch appear to be the same attended to by you – altho’ not exactly the same dates –
The Payment to Mrs Fitzsimmons 3 was made agreeably with your directions – when she left Lacock
I am happy to inform you, that the Rent of the Property surrendered by John Hayward 4, amounts to £6 – pr annum more than we had supposed it to be – & the Tenants have all paid me at this Audit –
I expect to be in Town till the 26th inclusive & intend calling in Harley St 5 before I leave – in case you should be returned & have any thing to say to me
I am Dear Sir
yr Obliged Sert
