I write to announce to you the birth of a daughter. ¹ Though it has arrived sooner by many weeks than we expected it is declared to have gone the full term. Nothing could have possibly been more favorable than the whole proceeding and the mother ² & daughter are both perfectly well

It took place at four this morning
