My Dear Henry

Having written to Salins as you desired I shall only say in this that you appear not to have received a Letter in which I gave you very particular directions how to find this house, in case the Nyon Coppet postilions do not know. Instead of turning into the Gate of Geneva you must keep on towards the Lyon road, but from the turn into the town at the Gate de Cornavin you see the Summer house of our Garden This house is called les grands Delices, as there is another very near & smaller.

How I wish you had left England much sooner, you would have had that fine weather for your journey & escaped these deluges of rain which for 2 or 3 days have gone on almost without intermission.
