TALBOT3044

Jany 22 1835

My dear Henry,

I am happy to report your Uncles 1 hypogressive amendment, and I hope soon we may have his company at dinner, but having been so much reduced as he has been we must have patience he took two or three turns in the Sun this morning, before the Drawing Room Windows, the first taste of fresh air he has had, for near a month and we hope a better night from it. – John 2 is still engaged Commission business in Ireland & thankful to have had the opportunity given of seeing Grant’s Causeway in his path of duty. William 3 is at Vienna accredited as British Minister in the absence of Sir F. Lambe 4 &c all that, is good it is not I believe expected that Sir F. L. will be removed his return to Vienna is uncertain, when it does occur, probably, Wm wd come home to ensure his chances of becoming himself a minister as opportunity offers, at the present moment, he cannot be better he writes cheerfully, but says they are all anxiety, for result of English Elections

I hope your Garden flourishes as mine does, it is in vain to ask you to come &c see it, this year but I shd like to shew it to you, & Constance 5 by & bye my kind regards & best wishes attend you both, & believe me ever

Your very Affete
Maria Ilchester
