I feel much obliged by your kindness in acquainting me with the late happy event ² in your family –

Permit me to offer my very sincere congratulations upon the occasion & best wishes for M^rs Talbot’s ³ recovery–

I have communicated the good news to M^r Paley ⁴ & at the Abbey, where it appeared to give great pleasure I assure you –

M^r Paley would have written, but as I mentioned my intention of doing so, he requested me to say every thing proper for him upon the occasion –
