My dear Henry
Have you any of the Cheiranthus mutabilis – I think 3 or 4 plants probably hybrids, pass under that name. I hope you have taken up some of Mr Herberts 1 bulbs for me – I have written to a man at the Cape for a boxfull if they come, you shall share them with me –
Have you in your shrubbery or anywhere the white American Cedar – Cupressus thyoides I believe – it is much more rare than the red – Juniperus virginiana. Mr Hunneman 2 has imported 5 large Zamias from the cape stems 8 – or 10 ft high. they are in Chelsea hothouse to tempt them into leaf –

I hope Caroline 3 & [Guy?] are well – what news from Nice?4
My Christmas visitings are again in doubt, owing to the serious illness of poor Lady Sheffield, 5 which I fear will bring Mam 6 up to town.
