My dear Henry
We are all delighted at the good news contained in your letter to my Mother, 2 and as you were safely lodged in your new house I cannot but rejoice dear Constance 3 should be saved the tedious weeks of Expectancy she had the last time. I must however beg for another account as soon as you have time – & do pray mention whether Mrs Wilkes 4 arrived in good time &c &c – as I am anxious to hear a few particulars. –
Mr Mundy 5 desires me to say that he is somewhat troubled about his subscription to Boodles Club – which ought to have been paid before as it was due the first of January. – He was on the point of desiring his Banker to pay it with the other Club Subscriptions when he recollected that he does not know who Boodles Banker is & therefore wants to know whether you would kindly call at the said Club & pay Eleven Guineas for him. Mr Mundy will pass through London in about 10 days when he will repay you – but is unwilling to delay it longer. All send kindest congratulations
& Believe me Ys affly
H G Mundy
