In consequence of the notice of your first papers on viewing crystals 1 under the Microscope by polarised light which appeared in my work I have now received several enquiries from the Continent of America as to whether they have been followed out, and should like to know where I could find your other papers as it might be adviseable [sic] to refer to them or give an abstract of the whole if it meet your approba[tion]2 in my forthcoming wor[k.]
