My Dear Henry
I am very sorry you are not to be persuaded to come here, I was going to see you to day, but it began to snow, so I have put it off till tomorrow. As you never do anything hastily, I conclude you will not act on the suggestion made to you yesterday without due consideration, therefore there is no hurry to tell you what I have heard till we meet.–
Dr & Mrs. Fowler 3 are just gone – He enters extremely into your pursuits, & I promised if I could to send him some drawings of circular crystals. I was sorry to give him the large view of the South Front 4 because it was on such very bad paper & covered with splotches. But he would have it for a souvenir of the Abby. He took such a fancy to some of mine that I obliged to give them to him particularly the one with a Peony leaf 5 & a leaf of some tree, which was always a favorite of mine
