My Dear Henry
I send you the enclosed as it may have escaped your observation & perhaps is worth enquiring into, as it may bear on your patent in France & perhaps suggest a remedy. Emma 1 is not well enough to travel tomorrow, & I am not quite well myself, so that I must defer my intended conversation, but not for long as I conclude you will be here soon. Perhaps you will travel down with Caroline. 2
To day the air is as clear & the sky as bright & blue as at Nice, if this place could disagree with you in such weather as this it would be a proof that dislike operated on your nerves, & not anything relaxing in the atmosphere.
Horatia 3 has just been saying this weather reminds her of a winter’s day in Italy.

I go constantly to Caroline Copse to viser 4 the new improvement which will be finished tomorrow. The Children were all disporting there to day in the Sun, it is such a sheltered walk
The Trains leave town at a more convenient hour on Sundays than they do at Chippenham. 5 I perceive Dr Arnold 6 approves of travelling on Sunday
