I beg to acknowledge the handsome letter ¹ I received from you this morning which is perfectly satisfactory.

I regret to see that you intimate that the Company sustained some loss on the occasion, which however I hardly understand the cause of, as I left four, if not five persons at the station claiming the inside of the coach–
