TALBOT4302

Dear Sir

I beg to send you herewith a copy of the proposed agreement with Professor Wheatstone 1 which has been altered or rather redrawn in order to make the terms more clear & specific.

It has been settled by Counsel & I beg to refer you to a copy of his opinion – It is quite impossible to frame any instrument which can give you a joint interest and participation in profits without constituting a partnership – or bringing the transaction within the laws against a jury.– You must therefore either determine to take the risk of partnership, or the only course must be for you to treat the matter as a loan of money at 5 per cent interest.

I will be here on Friday and Saturday next at 2 oclock, & be at your service if you can make it convenient to call on either of those days, or I will attend any other appointments you will make.

I am Dear Sir
Yours very obediently

Mr Char King
