My dear Henry
I am just returned home from Marle Hill. 1 – chicks 2 & all quite well. –
I am so tempted by your proposal that I should come & wish Horatia 3 good bye, & by Lady Elisabeth’s 4 kind offer of a bed, that I have ordered a special messenger to speed to Chippenham 5 with my acceptance of this pleasant invitation & to say that I will come to Sackville Street 6 at some reasonable hour tomorrow. – neither very early, nor very late. –
Did you expect me to be at home last Tuesday? – for you addressed a letter to me here on the previous day & I received it this morning forwarded to Marle hill. – Will you give my love to Lady Elisabeth & thank her for her invitation & tell her that I hope to see her tomorrow! – I think it is very spirited of me to make up my mind after five minutes consideration to such an important step. –
Adieu – I am rather tired of course – so will not write more –
Your affectionate
Constance. –
