I will to day pay £300 into the North Wilts Bank at Melksham ² to M^rs Talbots ³ Account as you desire –

With reference to the proposals you made to me the other Evening for assisting you in the business part of your patent right ⁴ I can only repeat that I shall be most happy to enter into any arrangement you may think likely to forward your views or wishes – and you may rely upon my best exertions –
