Bath
Thursday April 22d
My dear Henry
I hope Charles 1 remembered my two messages to you yesterday. - I was so sorry I omitted to write by Sunday evening's post. according to promise. but I was advised that the non ordering of the Cobourg 2 to the Station on Monday wd sufficiently indicate that we had changed the day -
I think you may like to see what Harriot 3 proposes about their coming to spend a fortnight at Bath. I shall be very glad for my dear Brother's 4 company - and I think if the weather should be fine, they may find it a pleasant change. I am sure it must be good for both of them to get away from Markeaton 5 occasionally. Harriot talks of the 31st - by which I may understand the 1st of May - H having apparently forgotten that there are only 30 days in April. That will fit-in nicely with your time, as Rd 6 tells me, which is very lucky. We had some thundery rain yesterday afternoon, which changed the air again - and it is very wet & chilly today. The sketching plan is of course postponed. -
Your affectionate
Constance
