Dear Talbot –

Lady Elisabeth 1 talks of wandering Eastward some time about the Norwich Musical Festival which takes place in Sepr & will I expect take that opportunity of visiting her Norfolk friends; suppose you do the same & come to me with them or without them should they not finally make up their minds, to come in either case I shall be most happy to see you in these parts – but should you come with Ly. E. & Horatia 2 as they & their maids &c will take up my spare beds (which are but few) perhaps you would have no objection to sleep at the Hall which is only a step from my House, & my brother Tom requests me to say that whether he is at home or not you will be welcome to a bed there, & if at home at the time he will be most happy to have you as his guest – The Norwich Festival takes place on the 13th of Sepr – Lady E would I suppose come to me the week before that, but as yet, further than her having expressed serious thoughs [sic] of such intentions, I am quite ignorant of her plans – I am going to send her some particulars she requires as to distance, & la carte du pays, to enable her to regulate her movements accordingly With kind regards to Mrs Talbot 3 who is I hope quite well –

believe me Yrs most sincerely
G. Montgomerie
