TALBOT4756

Sunday

My dear Henry

Her 1 progress is so slow that we shall not be able to move to Bath before Saturday, however I hope great things from the Quinine which she has begun taking to day. This being the case perhaps you had better come down here this week though that must of course depend on yr parliamentary business – and perhaps after we return from Bath would be better. Tho’ if there is nothing particular in the House this week – in short you must decide, but She would enjoy you more when she is better.

Fitzsimons 2 has been quite ill with a fluxion, his face swelled like a large melon. Mr F. 3 has been very good natured & sent him all sorts of things that did him good in the winter. It is impossible to keep him in doors, & going out makes him longer getting well. He has suffered much. Gwynne 4 too has been keeping her bed, I fancy it is a very rhumatic [sic] season –

Tell Mr M. of our delay – if you see him, if not do just write one line to Norfolk to say we shall certainly not go till <the> 23d at the soonest. In our confusion about Horatia we did not think of him in time & Saturday there was no post – I am so glad you go to Lansdowne House 5 – you were rewarded by finding Lord Liverpool 6 agreeable –

Henry Fox Talbot Esqr M.P.
