P.L.C.O. S.H. 1

24th Novr 1835

My dear Sir,

A Salary to the Gns 2 would I admit have much effect in securing their attendance – but as upon the whole there will be 20,000 Gns in England & Wales – the smallest remuneration thus multiplied would give too Large a result to justify its adoption.

You will see that in a short time the labours of the Gns will be so materially diminished as not to acquire such frequent attendance as at present.

Excuse haste & believe me
Yours most truly

(Signed) J Lefevre
