Dear Sir

I have taken the liberty of presenting the specimens of photo.engraving ¹ to the “Museum of Science and Art” ² here. The Director is forming a collection Apparatus, material, and results, in illustration of photography and applied to me for them.

I have also handed him the notes on the process which you sent for our Catalogue, but which we did not use. I hope I have not done wrong and remain
