TALBOT4969

Margam Park. 1
March 20. 1844.

My dear Sir,

Many thanks for the description of the Calotype process; which I intend to try instantly, for the prosecution of which I shd be infinitely obliged if you wd order your Chemist to send me a small quantity of the necessary ingredients; for which I will return him a Post Office order.

I fear however that I shall be sure to encounter the besetting blots, unless you describe the means by which you so perfectly avoid them in your last beautiful works, which I therefore trust to your great kindness not to forget to do.

Should you see M. Claudet, 2 he can shew you rather a pretty specimen of Marine Daguerreotyping 3 which I sent him; since however I have tried polishing with oil alone, my plates have become much superior in beauty

believe me yours truly obliged
