TALBOT5026

Chippenham ¹

30 March

Dear Sir,

I am just going to Devizes to conduct the nomination for North Wilts – I heard of a rumour of a Contest only Saturday night, but I did not hear the name of the Candidate. I think the County will be taken completely by surprise – I will write you on my return from Devizes if there is any thing to communicate – I will pay the £100 to the Melksham ² Bank to-day

Yours obliged
