Monday –
My dear Henry
I was expecting Lady Elisabeth 1 today – but an express from Bowood 2 brought the accustomed intelligence of a put off – She had a cold when she went there on Friday, but reports herself so much better for the change of air – I hope you also are much better for Brighton. – The Trahernes 3 – are coming on Wednesday & Lady Elisabeth proposed to persuade Mr & Mrs Moore4 to meet them, but I don’t know whether she succeeded.
The Moores were at Bowood on Saturday. –
Your affect
Constance
