I am favored with your letter of 24 Inst.
The sum of £200 lodged with Messrs Smith Payne & Co 1 by Messrs Awdry 2 was placed to your credit on 22d Inst., and a receipt for it sent to you in a letter addressed to Atholl Crescent, 3 which may probably have reached you ere now. I have, however, had pleasure in informing Mrs Talbot 4 that the remittance has been received, – according to your request.
