Many thanks for you present, which I like very much & shall value highly – it is particularly interesting to me as containing so many foreign mosses which are quite new to my eyes – Yet their company did not by any means reconcile me to the loss of your society & information today which we all missed very much, tho’ our expedition was a successful & pleasant one – We ended at Lee’s where there are a great many nice plants; have you see the <Brossea?> maculata now in flower there? –
